Job Description:

The Video Content Specialist will assist in
preparing, planning, and operating video needs for the Lastinger Center for Learning, including filming and editing for both the
public-facing portion and the Teacher’s Professional Development side of content. The Video Content Specialist coordinates, performs, and
supports media maintenance, creation, and distribution for various venues, audiences, and other deliverables. This position is time-limited
and soft-funded.

Responsibilities: Production

  • Assist in planning and
    executing video shoots, including setting up equipment and directing talent.
  • Operate video cameras, lighting, teleprompter and
    audio equipment to capture high-quality footage.
  • Collaborates with project leads and the studio specialist to design studio sets
    and film in the field.
  • Builds, maintains and prepares equipment kits for field producers to use.
  • Suggests the best
    solutions to meet project goals and keeps clients on task with reviews and updates.
  • Reviews progress and maintain up-to-date
    records for project tracking.


Post-Production

  • Facilitates post-production of project content through
    video trimming, color grading, sound design, animations, and special effects to enhance video quality and viewer engagement.
  • Ensures final videos meet branding, accessibility and technical guidelines.
  • Collaborates with the SME to approve and deliver
    their multimedia resources.
  • Backs up and organizes media files on the local server and cloud storage.
  • Offers creative
    solutions to create and deliver high-quality and engaging digital content.


Content

  • Collaborates across
    teams with subject matter experts to develop video content ideas for teacher professional development courses.
  • Creates storyboards,
    scripts, and shot lists for video projects.
  • Manages video content library, ensuring all assets are properly archived and easily
    accessible.

Process Development


  • Develops new techniques, systems, and procedures to enhance operational
    issues.
  • Implements feedback from stakeholders to continually improve video quality and effectiveness.
  • Assists in
    streamlining processes for both the A/V Production team and external teams.

Expected Salary:


$20-24 per
hour

Required Qualifications:

A high school diploma and two years of appropriate experience. Appropriate vocational/technical
training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.



Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Film Production,
    Digital Media, Communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Video Content Specialist, Video Producer, or similar
    role.
  • Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
    and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
