We are looking for a University of Edinburgh Graduate Intern to work with the University’s central admissions team on a range of activities including Clearing, the development of our latest online prospectus, and the changeover to the 2023 UCAS admissions cycle.
This internship offers a great opportunity to learn how university admissions work from the inside. Whether you’re crunching statistics to answer freedom of information requests, or researching a new qualification from Uzbekistan, you’ll find out things you never thought you’d need to know! Working in admissions, you’ll get the chance to develop a range of transferrable skills and working practices that will enhance your future employability.
Your skills and attributes for success:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good numeracy skills, and ability to work with and manipulate data
- An understanding of confidentiality, and data privacy requirements
- Ability to assess problems and identify solutions or to escalate where necessary
On this occasion the University will not consider applicants requiring sponsorship for this role. International workers will therefore only be able to take up this role if they can demonstrate an alternative right to work in the UK.
