About the role:

This new role presents an exciting opportunity to lead the globally respected professional recognition services operated by Advance HE. The existing services of Fellowships, accreditation and teaching excellence awards continue to thrive, and this role will lead their continued development and will be key to shaping the future strategy of our recognition services.

Working with member institutions and individuals across the UK and globally, the post holder will lead key strategic developments including the introduction of digital recognition and micro-credentials, the consideration of recognition for other aspects of HE practice such as leadership and equality and the growth and engagement of the global Fellowship community.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the development and delivery of the global professional recognition strategy creating a culture of inclusive and flexible professional recognition;
  • Oversee the operations of teaching Fellowships, accreditation and teaching excellence awards ensuring financial, income and quality targets are met.

We’re looking for a candidate who can demonstrate:

  • Experience of leading organisation-wide professional development in a range of HE contexts;
  • Knowledge of the professional recognition landscape within HE.

What we offer:

Location: This role can be based from our York or London office (a hybrid arrangement is available combining approximately 80% remote working and 20% office-based) or be home-based with regular travel to our offices. An element of travel will be required within the UK and internationally.
