This role is only open to current Leeds Undergraduate students only.
Are you a University of Leeds student looking to undertake a placement year as part of your degree? Do you want to gain skills and experience in communications, marketing and event planning whilst also supporting students to volunteer during their time at University? Can you make a positive contribution to our teams and to students studying here at Leeds?
The Volunteering and Students into Schools (SiS) team connect students with volunteering roles at charities or not for profit organisations in the Leeds area, as well as supporting 400+ undergraduates and postgraduates to deliver and support a range of educational interventions tailored to the needs of local schools. We also support international volunteering through the Turing Programme and coordinate the University’s Student Ideas Fund.
The Volunteering and SiS Intern is a varied role which will give you the opportunity to come into contact with many teams both within the University and with external partners. This will give you an insight into the third and education sectors. You will also work closely with the Work Placement Intern and Employer Engagement intern.
Through this placement you will develop skills and experience in building networks, data collection and analysis, administration, event planning and communications.
