The role
The division of Sport, Exercise and Health are looking to employ another excellent LTA Accredited tennis coach, Level 3 or above, to join the Tennis Team and coach across our community and student tennis programme.
What will you be doing?
You will predominantly, be coaching juniors on our growing programme, indoors and outdoors, at the heart of our sporting community at Coombe Dingle Sports Complex. You will coach a range of juniors from beginners to juniors who are representing the county and everything in between. You will be part of an excellent coaching team who work with over 350 juniors each week. The work pattern is for 21 hours per week x 52 weeks which includes coaching over 5 days of the week (excl. Wednesday and Sunday) and time assigned each week for coaching and competition admin tasks (LTA National League / team meetings / CPD). In addition to these core hours the successful candidates will have access to additional hours when required (including cover / camps / new activity / stringing), will be able to book indoor and outdoor courts at exclusive, discounted rates for 1:1 and max. 2:1 lessons and will have access to employed benefits including a pension, annual leave payments, kit, CPD opportunities and a sports pass giving access to our gyms, class programme, pool, sports hall and courts.

Work pattern:
This role is a year-round position. During state school term time hours of work are anticipated to be as outlined below. During school vacation periods hours of work will continue to be 21hrs per week on a revised work pattern.  
Term-time
Monday 3:45 – 7pm
Tuesday 3:45 – 7pm
Thursday 3:45 – 7pm
Friday 3:45 – 7pm
Saturday 8:45 – 12noon and 2 – 4pm
5 hours per week on programme related admin tasks as assigned by the line manager

The University of Cambridge Sports Service is looking for two Sports and Fitness Assistants to join its dynamic team of sports and fitness professionals.
The role holders will provide an important, visible presence in the fitness facilities and proactively engage with our customers. They will also assist with University Sports Centre operations more broadly and work with staff at our external sports grounds when needed.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to quickly build a rapport with a range of customers and the motivation to proactively encourage and support individuals with their fitness, health, and wellbeing goals. You will be flexible and responsive in your approach and work collaboratively with other staff to provide a welcoming, safe, clean and positive environment for customers.
A level 2 Gym Instructor qualification is required for this role and candidates should have demonstrable knowledge of health and safety related requirements in sport and fitness facilities. A recognised First Aid at Work and Automated Emergency Defibrillation qualifications (or the ability to achieve these) is also essential.

The University of Leeds has recently made a significant investment into its sporting facilities with a further £9.3m investment at our Sports Park Bodington Site. This included the construction of the new football hub with 3 new FIFA Quality 3G rubber crumb pitches and a new pavilion. This comes on the back of a recent £5.3, investment at that facility which included the construction of The Brownlee Centre and a 1.6km closed loop road cycle circuit. Other recent projects include a new FIFA quality and world 22 standard 3G pitch and two international standard water-based hockey pitches at our Sports Park WEETWOOD facility.
As a Recreation Assistant you will work as part of a team ensuring that the environment is safe for use and that a high level of customer service is maintained at all times. You will undertake a range of duties including cleaning tasks, setting up sport areas and moving equipment safely. There will also be a requirement for you to cover reception duties at some of our smaller sites, as required.  
You will have excellent communication skills and have a helpful attitude towards customers, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will also be able to maintain a positive attitude, whilst sometimes working under challenging situations. You will be required to work on a shift based system, which includes evening and weekend work. Hours of work will be variable dependent upon the needs of the business.
This role will work on a 5 over 7 shift basis system, majority of shifts include evening and weekend work. Hours of work will be variable dependent upon the needs of the business.

There will also be a requirement for you to cover catering duties at some of our smaller sites as required. 
With experience of working in a general bar and/or catering environment, you will have excellent communication skills and have a friendly and approachable attitude towards customers, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. You will also be able to maintain a positive attitude, whilst sometimes working under challenging situations.  You will have C.I.E.H Level 2 Certificate in Food Safety.
This full-time role will work on a 5 over 7 shift basis and will include the requirement to work on a shift-based system, which includes evening and weekend work.

You should have:

Previous experience of implementation of inclusive sport and physical activity events and/or initiatives.
Skilled operator of communication channels (i.e. website, apps, social media feeds, internal and external signage, email communications etc.)
Demonstrable success in building effective partnerships and working collaboratively with a wide range of people at all levels, both internal and external to the organisation.
