Fixed Term: This is a 12-24 month post in the first instance.
This post is for a 0.3fte Clinical Lecturer (Teaching) within the Primary Care Medical Education team. The Research Department of Primary Care and Population Health is part of the UCL Institute of Epidemiology and Health Care (http://www.ucl.ac.uk/epidemiology-health-care/). The post holder will be responsible for Leading the Year 4 Medicine in the Community (MIC) programme. They will also engage with other departmental teaching and scholarship opportunities. This is a 12-24 month post in the first instance.
We are looking for an applicant who is a practising GP and clinical academic. They will have some experience organising and delivering teaching. They will be enthusiastic about primary care and medical education research and its potential integration into teaching. Likewise able to inspire students to reflect on their clinical experiences in relation to evidence and patient experience. This post holder will need to be excellent at teamwork, collaborating with colleagues including a distributed network of GP tutors in practices; the Primary Care Medical Education team; and MBBS colleagues. They will need to work across faculties representing the team at faculty, departmental and MBBS committees. They will need to support student learning, assessment and manage quality assurance of placements, including review and dissemination of feedback. They will need to be organised, able to work to deadlines and multitask.
