The Medical Sciences Development team is recruiting a Deputy Head to cover a period of maternity leave, working closely with the Head in leading a highly effective fundraising team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with major philanthropists to advance the life-changing work of our world-leading medical researchers. The role includes line-management of several team members.
We are looking for a highly motivated and inspirational leader with management experience and a proven track record in raising major gifts. The role requires the ability to think strategically, build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, understand and discuss complex academic projects, and use creativity and initiative to solve problems. Outstanding fundraising, stewardship, management and communication skills are needed to be successful in this role.
The Medical Sciences Division has had an extraordinary time since early 2020, leading in many of the research areas relating to the pandemic. The Medical Sciences Development team is high-achieving and friendly, and provides support to the whole division, raising funds for many exciting and ground-breaking areas in medical sciences.
