Job Description:
The functional title is Success Coach. The
University of Texas at Dallas (UT Dallas) is partnering with multiple organizations to enhance the college experience, completion rates, and
post-graduation outcomes of students attending Dallas County Promise (DCP) public high schools who either enroll
at Dallas College with the intention of transferring to UT Dallas or enroll in UT Dallas directly following high school graduation. This
partnership is grant-funded and led by the Office of Undergraduate Education and the Office of Admission and Enrollment Services. The Office
of Undergraduate Education (OUE) is seeking a dynamic, relationship-driven professional to serve as a dedicated
Student Success Coach to support students who participate in the Dallas County Promise program.
Focused on academic
achievement, personal development, and career readiness, the Success Coach plays a pivotal role in supporting students throughout their
college journey. Using a personalized caseload approach, the coach engages students through proactive outreach, collaborative goal setting,
and strengths-based coaching. By fostering resilience and a growth mindset, the coach empowers students to navigate challenges, build
confidence, and achieve meaningful milestones. Serving as a vital link between students and campus resources, the coach leverages campus
partners to provide targeted academic, career, and personal development support. Through close collaboration with academic departments and
support services across the university, they contribute to each student’s success and sense of belonging. Additionally, the position
collects and maintains data on student progress and reports on trends to inform individual student support, programming, and broader student
recruitment, persistence, and graduation efforts at UT Dallas.
The Office of Undergraduate Education’s mission is to
promote student success for all undergraduates through enriching experiences that foster academic mastery, world readiness, and
self-advocacy. We strive to eliminate barriers to student success, expand access to transformative programs and opportunities, and nurture
students’ personal growth and sense of community on campus. Our programs and staff practice accountability; treat students and colleagues
with respect; and foster environments of compassion, autonomy, and trust.
