Job Summary

The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for an Accelerated BSN (ABSN) Track Specialist on the Gainesville campus. The ABSNT Specialist position is a multifaceted position that provides administrative support to the Accelerated BSN Track in the BSN program.

Responsibilities

  • Provides assistance for all ABSNT faculty. Screens and directs all callers and visitors. Monitors and responds to emails.
  • Collaborates with ABSNT Admission Specialist on all incoming and prospective student needs.
  • Prepares agendas and documents for assigned committees. Records and distributes minutes of meetings.
  • Provides database management and support for current & historical data–activates users; builds databases using MS Excel, MS Access, SPSS, Teams, or other platforms; defines data; provides training and support to users; improves accessibility; implements security checks; performs regular audits to ensure data integrity and quality; monitors and solves performance issues; and supports students and faculty with data report requests.
  • Initiates and maintains clinical contracts (MOUs) for the ABSNT; updates surveys annually.
  • Leads, coordinates, and monitors all aspects of the credentialing processes for ABSNT faculty and students, primarily using the online tracking database ACEMAPP and Microsoft Excel. Resolves problems that impact credentialing compliance.
  • Performs clinical data analyst duties–collects, interprets, monitors, and analyzes data and compiles reports for the Department leaders and faculty on clinical site utilization and placement trends, clinical evaluation, departmental statistics, and other topics as requested to help guide decision making.
  • Performs professional and administrative duties for the ABSNT–provides event support; composes, formats, and/or edits a variety of documents and reports using word processing, Adobe Acrobat DC, photo editing software, GIS mapping software, and MS Access and MS Excel; other duties as assigned. Submits budgetary needs or data to Department Head as requested.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to use independent judgment to manage and impart confidential information.
  • Database management and analysis skills including database creation, querying, analyzing, and reporting.
  • Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, students, staff, and contacts outside the organization.
  • Proficient use of office software applications (Word, Excel, Access, Adobe, photo editing software) and internet resources.
  • Works independently with minimal supervision.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Two (2) years of administrative experience.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Healthcare experience preferred.


Proposed Salary


Minimum Starting Salary: $19.72 per hour
