Bucknell University is seeking a dynamic Administrative Assistant to join our team who will support several key student services departments. This is more than just an administrative role-you’ll be the backbone of our office, providing essential support to the Assistant Vice President, Equity & Inclusive Excellence and playing a key role in managing the office’s operations.

Job Duties:
Reporting Relationship:
- Reports to the Assistant Vice President, Equity & Inclusive Excellence.
Work Setting/Schedule:
- On campus student facing position.
- This is a 37.5 hour per week full-time position, 12 month per year.
What You Will Do:
- Office Administration: Supports daily operations including scheduling meetings, updating calendars, creating reports, maintaining inventory of office and event supplies and managing assigned projects. Coordinates the work of student employees as needed.
- Administrative Support: Provides administrative support including working with vendors, greeting guests, and creating correspondence. Participates in office initiatives and prepares documentation for memberships, workshops and conferences.
- Logistics Coordination: Coordinates the preparation of meeting agendas and oversees logistics for meetings and travel. Supports the team with expense reporting.
- Event Coordination: Schedules meetings, coordinates safety and general training sessions, and assists with departmental events.
- HR Coordination: Coordinates and provides support for staff searches, hiring, onboarding, and exiting. Processes and coordinates student payroll onboarding, compensation changes, etc. Tracks and updates office locations, contacts, and special needs.
- Non Essential Functions: The job description’s listed responsibilities and tasks are not exhaustive, additional non-essential tasks and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
What You Will Bring:
Required:
- Education: Highschool Diploma.
- Professional Work Experience: Two or more years of experience.
Preferred, but not required:
- Education: Associates degree.
- Professional Work Experience: Four or more years of experience in administrative or related experience; Experience in Higher Education.
Physical Requirements:
- Office environment, no specific or unusual physical or environmental demands.

Salary Range:
17.16-21.45
The offer rate will be based on a review of the candidate’s credentials compared to the qualifications of the position, internal equity, and our overall compensation philosophy.
This role is not budgeted for visa sponsorship at this time, all candidates must be authorized to work in the US at the time of submission of the application.
