Job Summary
This recruitment will be used to fill one full-time Administrative Program Assistant: Class Scheduler and Curriculum
Coordinator position for the College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences at Oregon State University (OSU).
The purpose
of this position is to provide College-wide coordination and implementation of undergraduate and graduate course scheduling and curriculum
proposals within the College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences (CEOAS).
This requires a high level of collaboration with
College administration, faculty and staff, and curriculum committees. This position also provides support to the Office of Student
Services.
The incumbent in this position collaborates with the Oregon State University (OSU) Schedule Desk, and the Registrar’s
office, in the scheduling of courses and classrooms for the College, and with the Curriculum Management Team for development, tracking, and
approval of curriculum proposals for the College. Timely and effective communication with faculty, staff, and students is vital to the
successful performance of the duties associated with this position.

What We Require
Three years
of office experience which included two years at full performance level and experience generating documents; and Lead work responsibility or
coordination of office procedures.
What You Will Need
- Experience coordinating schedules, maintaining
databases, and maintaining electronic records. - Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; including Microsoft Outlook
Exchange and Microsoft Excel. Accuracy, attention to detail, and a high level of confidentiality and integrity. - Demonstrated
professional behavior, ability to work independently and as a team member. - Ability to work on multiple projects that may have short
and concurrent deadlines. - Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working collaboratively in
multicultural or cross-functional teams, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
What We Would Like You to
Have
- Demonstrated ability to explain and/or interpret zone scheduling. University classroom scheduling processes and
procedures, and academic regulations and policies. - Demonstrated ability to work with faculty and advisors on curricula issues.
- Working knowledge of Courseleaf Section Scheduler (CLSS), Banner Student Information System (Banner), and Cooperative Open Reporting
Environment (CORE). OR similar room/curricular scheduling software experience. - Working knowledge of CIM or similar curriculum
proposal software.
Working Conditions / Work Schedule
Due to large workloads during certain times of the
year (beginning of terms, etc.), time off may not be granted during these times or other anticipated peak workload
periods.
Pay Method: Hourly
Pay Period: 16th – 15th of the following
month
Pay Date: Last working day of the month
Min Salary: $20.37
