Position Summary
The Administrative Services Assistant is
responsible for a wide range of procurement, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, cashiering, and administrative services at a
Community College.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Director or Associate Director of
Finance and Administrative Services or other administrator, the Administrative Services Assistant is accountable for the effective
performance in these essential functional areas:
Key responsibilities include:
- Procurement and accounts
payable - Accounts Receivable and cashiering
- Scheduling events and facilities
- Inventory/asset
management
Additional responsibilities include:
- Attendance and participation at convocation and commencement
ceremonies - Service on assigned committees and task forces
- Attendance and participation at committee, staff, informational
and professional meetings which may occur during evenings and weekends.

Minimum
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in an appropriately related field and up to three (3) years of relevant experience; or a combination
of education, training and experience which would lead to the competencies required for successful performance of the position’s essential
duties.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience working in a cashiers, finance, financial aid, or other similar
financial and/or business office. - Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and
ethnic backgrounds, including individuals with disabilities. - Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication
skills. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
Preferred
Qualifications
- Experience using financial database software to process financial transactions (e.g., Banner, QuickBooks,
etc.). - Experience providing customer service to various stakeholder groups (e.g., students, faculty, staff, the public,
etc.). - Experience in an educational environment (e.g., K-12, college/university, etc.).
- Experience with billing and
collections
Salary and Benefits
- Salary range; $54,141-$57,765 approximate annual
- Salary is based on
qualifications, education, job-related experience, and internal equity

Selection
Process
