Position Information
Under close supervision, supports UCR School of Medicine admissions and
recruitment by providing front-line advising to prospective applicants, preparing and evaluating admissions files for completeness and basic
eligibility, and advancing applications through defined workflow. Assists with planning, coordination, and execution of recruitment
activities, applicant interviews, and school events; prepares admissions materials and routine communications across phone, email,
in-person, and virtual channels. Provides co-advising and file review support for the Early Assurance Program and helps assemble program
materials and logistics. Generates basic reports on applicant data and status, interprets straightforward trends for staff and leadership,
and maintains strict confidentiality in alignment with FERPA/HIPAA. Works collaboratively with staff, faculty, and external partners to meet
timelines and service standards; escalates complex cases and does not make independent admissions decisions. Occasional evenings/weekends
and limited travel may be required for recruitment and student affairs events.
The full salary range for the Admissions Coordinator
is $53,100 – $89,700 annually. However, the expected hiring range for this position is up to $71,400 annually. We base salary offers on a
variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take
over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable
University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government
directives may impose additional requirements.

requirements at UC. Knowledge of FERPA and HIPAA federal regulations. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Ability to maintain
positive interactions with others and work cooperatively. Ability to analyze, interpret and evaluate statistical data and policy. Ability to
collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in an effort to achieve department goals. Basic knowledge and experience working with a
diverse student population.

Responsibilities
- Prepares admissions materials for review.
- Independently reviews and accurately evaluates admissions
files in an efficient and timely manner. Consults with experienced level staff or faculty when reviewing more complex applications. Works in
conjunction with the team to advance applications to the next stage of the admissions process to facilitate admissions
decisions.Provides support in preparing and assembling materials for the Early Assurance Program.
Serves as a co-advisor to
prospective applicants on the Early Admissions Program admission process, program requirements and regular event planning (e.g.,
presentations, information sessions, workshops) and marketing, including applicant interviews and committee meetings specific to the
recruitment for UCR SOM Early Assurance Program. Independently reviews and evaluates admissions files exclusively for the Early Assurance
Program. - Under close supervision from manager or higher level Admissions/Recruitment Specialist, provides information to the
public and prospective applicants on admissions requirements, and school/college programs and curricula. - Provide information to and
advise prospective applicants on curriculum
requirements, including effectively communicating admissions policies and procedures that
encourages completion of the admissions process. Serve as advisor to prospective applicants on the medical school admissions process,
admission requirements and other inquiries regarding UCR SOM programs. Independently responds to routine inquiries from applicants via
phone, e-mail, in-person, and virtual settings.
Participates in approved training and development activities to learn and maintain
programmatic and subject matter competency. - Assists with the planning, coordination, execution, and tracking of activities for
medical school recruitment events (e.g., First Looks, Recruitment Day, Tabling, Presentations), applicant interviews, and other special
events (e.g., White Coat Ceremony, Orientation, Match Day, Graduation). Works independently and collaboratively coordinating assigned tasks
and projects to keep all event planning on track. - Produces reports.
- Prepare statistical/analytical reports on admissions
data, applicant profiles and status. Ability to interpret data to be shared with leadership. - Other duties as
assigned.

Special Conditions
- Please note that this position is currently hybrid, with 3 days in the
office and the remainder working remotely. Schedules may change due to operational needs. This position will also be required to work
occasional evenings and/or weekends as needed for recruitment/outreach events and other student affairs activities. - Occasional
travel for university related business meetings, conferences and/or professional development. - Shift Work (hours outside standard
Mon-Fri 8AM-5PM work hours)
