Summary

The Admissions Registration Coordinator supports the successful transition of newly confirmed undergraduate and graduate students from admission to enrollment. This position is responsible for registering confirmed students for their initial term and coordinating closely with Admissions to facilitate a smooth and timely start. This role does not include recruitment, admissions counseling, or family meetings. Instead, it is a high-volume, detail-oriented position focused on registration accuracy, compliance, communication, and execution once a student has confirmed enrollment.



Duties and Responsibilities

  • Register newly confirmed undergraduate and graduate students for their first term in accordance with approved academic plans, program requirements, and institutional policies
  • Review student records to confirm completion of required enrollment steps (deposit, transcripts, holds, immunization records, orientation requirements, etc.) prior to registration
  • Coordinate closely with Admissions team to resolve registration issues, holds, or discrepancies
  • Utilize the University’s degree planning tools, Student Information System – Colleague, CRM – Slate, and related information to ensure accurate course enrollment and documentation
  • Support admissions efforts during peak enrollment periods, including new student orientations, registration events, and start-of-term processing
  • Monitor enrollment pipelines to ensure timely registration of confirmed students and flag issues that may delay enrollment
  • Maintain working knowledge of undergraduate and graduate program structures, registration rules, academic calendars, and enrollment policies
  • Provide clear, accurate communication to students regarding schedules, course formats, credit loads, and next steps after registration
  • Assist with data tracking, reporting, and internal audits related to registration completion and enrollment readiness

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned in support of enrollment and student onboarding operations
  • Perform additional administrative duties and special projects as assigned.


Qualifications


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Prior experience in higher education, admissions, or a student-facing office preferred.
  • Familiarity with CRM or admissions systems preferred
  • One to three years of experience in higher education enrollment services, student services, registration, or academic operations preferred
  • Ability to manage high-volume workflows and meet firm deadlines during peak periods
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with prospective students
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments
  • Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential student records
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database-driven systems

Work Environment & Physical Requirements


  • This position operates in a professional office environment. The role requires sustained attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple student records simultaneously during peak periods.
  • Some evening or weekend work required during peak admissions and event periods.
