Colby Community College is accepting applications for a full-time Assistant Athletic Trainer. This position coordinates
the prevention, management, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries sustained by student-athletes in 11 varsity sports. Colby Community
College is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association and competes in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference.
The salary range for this position is between $46,000 – $51,500. The college offers up to $2,000 in relocation
reimbursement to join our wonderful community.

The Opportunity
This is a
12-month, full-time, non-faculty position with an anticipated schedule of at least 40 hours per week. Evening, weekend, and
travel commitments are required.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with injury and illness prevention,
recognition, evaluation, management, treatment, disposition, rehabilitation, and return to full competition of ColbyCC student athletes. - Providing athletic training coverage of home events.
- Assisting with student-athletes in preparing for therapy and
recovery. - Assisting with dressing and undressing/removing braces and/or supportive equipment.
- Communicating with the
athletic coaching staff regarding the status of the athlete’s injury.
Salary and Benefits
$46,000 – $51,500 annually, based on experience and education.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in athletic training or a related field required.
- NATA
Certification required. - Licensed in the State of Kansas or the ability to become licensed within the first six
months. - Master’s degree in athletic training or a related field preferred.
- Experience in collegiate athletic training
preferred.
