The Assistant House Manager supports the House Manager in overseeing front-of-house operations for performances and events at the Silver Center for the Arts. This position ensures a welcoming and safe environment for all patrons, provides leadership to student ushers, and helps maintain smooth, professional theater operations during events.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Assist the House Manager with opening and closing the theater for events.
- Supervise and support student ushers, volunteers, and front-of-house staff.
- Greet and assist patrons, providing excellent customer service.
- Help monitor audience safety and enforce theater policies.
- Support ADA accessibility needs as required.
- Assist with resolving patron concerns in a professional manner.
- Coordinate with stage management, and facilities as needed.
- Complete pre-show and post-show reports and incident documentation when required.
Requirements
Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience:
- A high school diploma or GED, with additional education or certifications being a plus.
Required Licenses & Certifications:
- PCI Compliant, Crowd Control, or willingness to take
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong Leadership, excellent Communication and Organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate staff. Microsoft Office a plus.
