Responsibilities
The AV Technician will mainly focus on AV support for the MDD downtown Tampa building on behalf of the IT Audio Visual team. This position will track MDD equipment inventory as well as installation in the classrooms and support thereafter. The Media Technologist will also be responsible for assisting with AV event coordination and/or scheduling for any AV related services.
- Support: Real-time troubleshooting and resolution of AV issues in support of teaching/learning and presentation spaces.
- Equipment Inventory: Monitors and maintains active inventory database for tracking, audit and compliance- adding and editing entries where needed.
- Scheduling/ Logistics: Coordinates with other departments, colleges and external vendors on scheduling events, services, training and other AV-related needs.
- Other: Performs other duties within IT/AV Services, as determined by supervisor; participates in professional development activities as appropriate.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent with five years of directly related experience. Appropriate vocational/technical training or college coursework may substitute at an appropriate rate for the required experience.
