The University of Utah Division of General Surgery seeks an experienced surgeon at the late assistant, associate, or
full professor level with a primary clinical focus in minimally invasive foregut and general surgery to join our Section of Gastroesophageal
and Bariatric Surgery for anticipated start date no later than September 15, 2025. The candidate should have established clinical expertise
in the evaluation and surgical management of benign gastroesophageal pathology, and a demonstrated ability to teach and function
independently in a busy clinical practice. Robotic skills need not be a priority for this individual, but would be supported. As part of our
academic mission, the successful candidate should also have a strong interest in education, with a track record of fostering a safe space
for the education and professional development of trainees.

Clinical responsibilities for the successful candidate will include
participation in our tertiary referral institution’s bariatric and foregut call pool, not principally provide elective bariatric surgical
services. Operative and clinical time will be divided between our main campus and our satellite outpatient surgery centers at Farmington
and/or South Jordan providing outpatient general surgical care. Opportunity for dedicated endoscopy block time is also available. While the
primary focus is clinical, as part of our academic department there is an expectation to participate in scholarly activities supporting the
academic mission.
