Posting Summary

The Department of Landscape Architecture is seeking a Coadjutant to perform the below duties:


  • Attend the Steering Committee meeting to review the scope of work and timeline, gather key input on stakeholder and community engagement approaches, existing park planning documents, and technical advice on mapping the needs assessments and community values.
  • Lead the research and interviews to prepare a summary of actions and accomplishments related to the New Brunswick park system. Focus will be on work completed since 2018. In addition, Alexis will review and summarize relevant plans, studies, and policies that could inform how New Brunswick can further invest in its park and open space system.
  • Lead the public engagement and outreach to reveal and communicate the strengths and opportunities in the New Brunswick park and open space system and set the stage for broader ongoing engagement with non-traditional partners.
  • Supervise students conducting physical inspections of existing parks and on-site interviews of park users to evaluate accessibility, active amenities, educational uses, supportive facilities, aesthetics, trails, and safety and maintenance conditions of New Brunswick parks.
  • Leadership in developing a final parks action plan, communicating the process, background, and findings of the planning process, emphasizing stories and analyses.
