The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Temp Services is seeking a Computer Support Tech position (Help Desk Analyst)

Job Specific Duties


  • Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer hardware, software, and network.
  • Monitoring help desk phones, e-mails, and other electronic problem reporting mechanisms.
  • Makes sure they are responding appropriately in a precise and timely manner.
  • Implements and installs new computer solutions and contributes to logistical solutions for unit needs.
  • Utilizes Problem Management database to register problems and record most effective solutions.
  • Contributes to departmental training with other staff and supervisor.
  • Able to effectively resolve customer IT needs, record events/problems as well as their resolution in a ticketing system and perform other duties as assigned.

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8am-5p

Location: Avondale



Hourly Rate $18.00


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements: Associate’s degree in Information Systems or a related field and two years of related experience. Work experience may substitute for education requirements.
