Primary Purpose:

Provides food prep assistance,
assist in kitchen and food equipment cleaning, food inventory, and all other necessary assistance to the head cook. Responsible for all food
preparation on days head cook is not on duty to ensure continued top quality service and satisfaction to our museum cafe
customers.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Assists
the chief cook with all food prep for lunch service and buffets to ensure optimal customer service.

2. Assist in tracking and
maintaining inventory of supplies and food for the cafe. Keeps beverages and other food supplies neatly organized to ensure efficient cafe
operation.

3. Assists the cook with daily cleaning in the kitchen, to ensure high sanitation standards and compliance with the State
Department of Health.

4. Keep store and clean, organized and tidy.

5. Assist store sales service counter whenever needed.

6. Provides general assistance to Manager and Assistant Manager.

7. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirements:

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: 1. Possesses a friendly and

3. Excellent organizational and communication
skills.

4. Flexibility with hours and days availability.

5. Basic knowledge of Word and Excel; and data entry
skills.

6. Ability to multi-task.

Required Certifications/Licensures: Must possess Food Handler
Certification within 30 days of hire.

Required Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent

Major

Required Experience: Two (2) years experience in cooking and food service work.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Associates Degree.

2. Experience in museum environment.
