University ‘s Facilities, Planning, Construction and Safety/Business Affairs (Accounting) Department is pleased to announce the acceptance
of qualified applications for the Coordinator, Accounting vacancy.

Responsibilities


This is staff level position that reports to the
Assistant Director, Business and Financial/Auxiliary Services for Facilities, Planning, Construction & Safety (FPC&S). The incumbent serves
as Lead for Construction Accounting ensuring that the goals and objectives are met, as well as responsible for complying with all applicable
rules, regulations and laws. This position is directly responsible for planning, organizing and implementing daily activities as follows:

Assist with preparation of legislative and operating budgets (CIPs, COIPs and CITFs); Assist with the recording of
project appropriations; Work in collaboration with the Executive Director, Facilities Planning and Construction and Project Managers to
review project budgets and expenditures, ensuring that fiscal procedures are followed and project objectives are met; Monitor legislative
appropriations for Public Educational Capital Outlay (PECO), Capital Improvement Trust Fund (CITF), and other construction project funding;
Process financial transactions in the PeopleSoft (iRattler) System to include inputting requisitions, monitoring purchase orders to ensure
proper and timely closing, audit and receipt all pay requests, submit invoices to Controller’s Office and maintain invoice tracking log for
projects to ensure timely payments to vendors; Reconcile internal accounting records for project budgets and expenditures on a monthly
basis; Prepare and maintain financial reports to include biweekly purchase order and payment status for Project Managers; and prepare
monthly and annual accounting reports (DOE project disbursement, PECO project survey, Agency 31 month reversions, Agency Certified Forward
and Critical Deferred Maintenance).


Serve as Liaison to Purchasing and Controller’s Office to resolve any fiscal issues;
Assist with department year end closing data submission for University Financial Statements; Recommend, develop and interpret accounting
rules, policies and procedures to effectively and efficiently administer construction accounting functions to comply with University
standards; and assist with training staff to input construction related fiscal transactions.

Minimum Qualifications


Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field and two years of related experience; or
master’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field.

Recommended Competencies


Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and
cost control principles;
Knowledge of and ability to interpret Facilities, Planning, Construction and Safety purchasing
requests;
Knowledge of and ability to interpret PECO expenditure requests;
Knowledge of state purchasing and accounting policies and
procedures;
Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply related University policies and procedures;
Knowledge of the concept,
principles and practices of management;
Knowledge of the concept, principles and practices of inventory control;
Working knowledge of
University procurement system-PeopleSoft, AIM System, Microsoft Office, and on-line research skills;
Ability to communicate effectively,
verbally and in writing;
Ability to independently monitor expenditure request in the University accounting system;
Ability to develop
and implement policies, procedures, goals and objectives;
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships;
Ability
to evaluate quotes, proposals and bid documents; and,
Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments
simultaneously.

Anticipated Salary Range


The salary range is between $55,000 to $60,000 commensurate with relevant
experience.

Licenses and Certifications


Must maintain a valid Driver’s License.

This is an Administrative and Professional (A&P) position.

Successful candidate is subject to a
