Florida A&M University’s School of Business and Industry, Small Business Development Center
is pleased to announce the acceptance of qualified applications for the Coordinator, Management Analysis vacancy.
Responsibilities
The Coordinator,
Management Analysis or Capital Access Coordinator/Business Advisor will provide specialized one-on-one consulting and educational support to
entrepreneurs and small business owners, with a primary focus on capital readiness, access to capital, and advanced financial strategies;
This role is responsible for guiding clients through the preparation required to secure funding and investment-from traditional loans to
equity financing-through financial analysis, strategic business planning, and customized technical assistance; The Advisor will also play a
critical role in conducting outreach and building strategic alliances with local and regional economic development stakeholders, including
banks, Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs), Chambers of Commerce, and other resource partners; and this role requires both
independent initiative and team collaboration, with a flexible schedule to accommodate evening events and meetings.
Minimum
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in appropriate area of specialization and two years of related
experience; or master’s degree in appropriate specialization.
Recommended Competencies
Demonstrated experience in financial analysis, loan packaging, credit assessment, or capital advisory services;
Excellent time
management, communication, and organizational skills;
Strong interpersonal and public speaking abilities, with a capacity to build trust
across diverse business and community sectors;
Proficiency in business management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and CRM systems;
and,
Ability to travel up to 75% across the service area; valid driver’s license required.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s
degree in business, finance, or accounting, or five or more years of professional experience in financial consulting, commercial lending, or
small business advising. Experience as a small business owner or advisor. Working knowledge of SBA loan programs, CDFls, and equity
investment models.
Pay Plan
This is an
Administrative and Professional (A&P) position.
