Summary
- Coordinate practicums to ensure that students gain hands-on experience in their chosen career field.
- Managing the
practicum program. - Responsible for Dallas College’s commitment to our students to provide premier quality service in their education
experience.
- Responsible for sourcing and securing practicum placements that align with the learning objectives of the
program and student. - Locating new practicum sites, maintaining relationships with employers, coordinating practicum paperwork, and
preparing students to make the exciting transition from classroom learning to practicum experience.

- Developing external relationships to ensure students have the opportunity for practicum placements within
their industry. - Collaborating with Instructors to determine practicum placement experiences for students.
- Contributing to
and monitoring the quality of the student experience. - Supporting the administrative functions of the clinicals and practicums to
enhance the student experience. - Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with individuals from a variety of
backgrounds and cultures.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time
management skills. - Strong ability to multi-task.
- Ability to develop networks and maintain contacts within the business
community. - Working knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work
independently with minimum supervision. - Good judgment and ability to prioritize assignments.
- Exhibits patience and strong
active listening skills. - Ability to work under pressure and maintain a calm focus during hectic periods.
- Understanding of
the strategic plan, programs and services provided by Dallas College to enhance the student experience.

Minimum Qualifications
- Two (2) years of college (preferred) or High
School Diploma with two (2) years’ experience in workforce development and/or clinical/practicum placements (required). - A minimum of
three (3) years’ experience in a related field, such as recruitment or career counselling - An equivalent combination of education and
experience will be considered. - Official transcript will be required.
- Bilingual or multilingual preferred.

Key
Responsibilities
- Strategize on how to best approach a task and develop a concrete plan to lead and accomplish student and
practicum success. - Disseminate information among team members and key stakeholders.
- Keep track of project progress and
ensure all documents are complete and submitted to appropriate work groups for proper data storage. - Collaborate with various
stakeholders, internal/external to create, facilitate business objectives and integrate solutions for student’s practicum. - Work
cross-functionally with internal/external work groups to develop and improve multiparty initiatives for students that involve the student
practicum.
- Provide and share knowledge for process improvements to address the effectiveness of work processes and
solutions.
- Completes required Dallas College Professional Development training hours per academic year.
- Performs
other duties as assigned.
