Description

The Travel Coordinator will arrange business
travel for employees, students, and athletics teams, identifying the most cost-effective and efficient travel arrangements and making
necessary reservations for accommodation.

Essential Functions:


  • Reviews and approves travel requests
    submitted via Colleague; requests corrections when/if needed.
  • Research and compares available travel and hotel accommodations to
    identify the best available option for each travel need.
  • When travel arrangements are within approved travel reasons and budget
    limits, makes all arrangements and reservations as requested.
  • Monitors and facilitates the use of company credit cards, requests
    statement reconciliations from all card holders monthly.
  • Reconciles the Business Office American Express travel card timely
    monthly, providing all receipts and appropriate documentation.
  • Reviews and approves reimbursements for travel expenses and
    provides follow up for travel advances and associated reconciliation, including return of funds.
  • Performs other related duties as
    assigned.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent
    decision-making skills with the ability to assess multiple options and to identify the best choice to serve a specified goal.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma
    required; some higher education preferred.
  • Excellent administrative experience and communication skills required

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be
    able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
