JOB PURPOSE:

The Curriculum and Assessment manager will oversee and assist with data management,
organization, and analysis for continuous quality improvement initiatives, student performance for annual assessment reporting, and external
accreditation. The manager must be well-versed in assessment measures, methodologies, and data analysis. The position will provide data
management, data reporting and support to the Office of Academic Affairs staff in fulfilling the accreditation and evaluation functions of
the dental school curriculum.

NATURE AND SCOPE:


Internal contacts
include administrators, faculty, students, and staff within The College of Dentistry and University. External contacts include government
agencies, corporations, foundations, vendors, other colleges and universities, visitors and the public.

PRINCIPAL
ACCOUNTABILITIES:


  • Support monitoring student progress, curriculum review, program self-study, accreditation preparation, and
    continuous quality improvement functions.
  • Collect and analyze data/artifacts for direct and indirect assessment measures, including
    surveys, course, faculty and student data.
  • Assist with annual university assessment reporting including updating the Colleges
    assessment plan complete with what was done and the supporting documentation.
  • Ensure that there is an ongoing schedule for assessing
    areas in the College as identified by the Academic Dean.
  • Assist with self-study coordination and reporting and accreditation site
    visit preparation, including coordinating, organizing, and formatting programmatic reports for reporting to identified
    entities.
  • Lead course evaluation process and data analysis.
  • Ensure the reliability and validity of assessment and survey
    instruments and recommend changes and enhancement as necessary.
  • Assist with the execution of a plan to cultivate a culture of
    assessment within the College of Dentistry based on data.
  • Harness assessment data to identify opportunities to improve program
    performance and achieve goals.
  • Coordinate curricular optimization with faculty and instructional design staff, completing the
    assessment “feedback loop.”
  • Produce ad hoc analyses, reports, graphs, and data as needed for both internal and external
    stakeholders.
  • Design, distribute and maintain the electronic teaching evaluations.
  • Troubleshoot Examsoft issues and assist
    faculty and students with ExamSoft challenges.
  • Assist in developing statistical models to measure impact of learning support
    services on student achievement of intended learning outcomes.
  • Develop item analysis reports as necessary to help faculty evaluate
    the effectiveness of tests and test items.
  • Help conduct focus groups with students and or faculty and staff to get insight into
    practices that work and those that do not.
  • Stay abreast of current academic trends and policies regarding curricular and
    programmatic assessment and implementing effective assessment techniques at the college.
  • Participate as an ex-officio member of
    identified committees.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

CORE COMPETENCIES:

  • Project management tools such as SharePoint.
  • Intermediate-advanced data visualization.
  • Familiarity with
    importing/exporting from various databases and/or systems.
  • Familiarity with online survey management tools.
  • Experience
    developing and delivering technical training to an audience with varying levels of technical understanding.
  • Experience
    supporting faculty in a teaching/learning environment.
  • Previous data analytics and database management
    experience.
  • Ability to manipulate data within and across MS Office products (e.g., conduct Microsoft Word email merges
    using mail lists in Excel, import data from Excel into Access).
  • Experience with LMS (ex. CANVAS) and assessment tools
    (ex. Examsoft) would be preferred.
  • Ability to establish and maintain productive and harmonious work relations with faculty,
    staff, students, and the public.
  • Must have exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong team-oriented,
    analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:


Bachelor’s degree preferably
in education administration, data science, education, health care administration or public health preferred and 3 years of related
experience.

Compliance Salary Range Disclosure


Expected Pay Range: $63,363 – $70,000
