The
Child Development Center within the College of Education & Human Development is seeking to hire a dedicated and experienced
Curriculum Coordinator.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL
DO:
The essential duties and responsibilities of the (Position Name) are the following:
- Completing formal written
observations in each classroom on a bimonthly basis and offering direction, modeling, training and providing insight to teachers for the
enhancement of teaching and learning based on those observations. Also demonstrating appropriate teaching and classroom management
techniques for staff and visitors, familiarizing new staff to program’s curriculum, and implementing curriculum changes in the Child Dev.
Program. Additionally, communicating the approved curriculum to the staff and families and ensuring that the curriculum and age appropriate
activities promote the social, emotional, cognitive and physical growth of children. - Applies for and ensures compliance with
National Association for the Education of Young Children Accreditation and other accreditations. Develops a written plan of action on the
process of achieving accreditation that can be shared with other centers around state. - Ensures that staff has completed, posted and
follows age and developmentally appropriate lesson plans and schedules for the children at all times. Ensures that staff maintains
current/up-to-date assessment records for children. Ensures that classrooms have appropriate toys and other materials in classrooms, and
submits orders as needed. - Tracks and plans training for employees, submits a tentative training schedule per semester for each staff
member. Ensures that all staff members maintain compliance with training as required by licensing. - Performs other duties as
assigned.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and
five years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
