Summary: This position supports the Accounts Payable Department in verifying the integrity of data for 1099’s,
reimbursements and Purchase Order invoices. Performs reconciliations of individual and team travel advances.



Classification
Summary:

Under general direction, responsible for coordination of the collection, maintenance, analysis and distribution of
administrative information used to produce university reports and special project reports which require analysis and comparison.

Classification Standard Duties:
Assumes general responsibility for the collecting, editing, processing, and
distribution of data required in the university data information systems. Assumes direct responsibility for the collection, editing,
processing and distribution of several university administrative information system through a liaison role with academic and administrative
offices and data-processing personnel. Consults with academic and administrative departments concerning the importance of data requirements,
and aids in providing feedback information to them. Provides assistance in the preparation of special analyses and reports to the university
administration and various departments. Recommends and implements new operating methods to improve data flow, collection, editing,
processing and distribution. Recommends and implements new standards and procedures for administrative information. Assists in the design,
development and implementation of computerized data files and information systems within the university administration. Performs related
work as required.



Required Education, Experience, Certification/License, Equivalency
Required
Education:Bachelor’s degree in a related field.; Required Experience:One (1) year of experience related to the standard duties as outlined.;

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
KNOWLEDGE:Knowledge of
university and department policies and procedures. Knowledge of the principles and practices of organization and administration; principles
of supervision, training and performance evaluation. Knowledge of laboratory and field research; university structure and function.;
SKILLS:short- and long-term planning; problem analysis and resolution; report preparation and presentation; interpersonal and organizational
communication, both oral and written.; ABILITIES:Ability to direct, evaluate, train and supervise the work of assigned personnel; develop
and maintain effective working relationships; maintain accurate and orderly records; use independent judgment and initiative; organize and
direct activities; analyze and evaluate information; respond quickly to requests from university administrators, legislators and
stakeholders; communicate verbally and in writing about technical topics to general audience.



Job Duties and
Responsibilities

Responsible for integrity of the data used to process NMSU disbursement transactions. This includes review of
the payment request forms, training of the Accounts Payable team on related processes and requirements and reporting tasks. Assist with the
supervision of the Accounts Payable team and manage data processing workload accordingly which includes the running of reports and review of
data in multiple systems. Manage data that is used for check processing and ensure the check run is executed on a timely basis. Review and
resolve exceptions generated in the AggieMart system. Provide support for researching issues, problem resolution and improving processes by
pulling and evaluating data.
