Summary of Job Duties:
The University of Arkansas is seeking a highly skilled and motivated
Descriptive Business Intelligence Analyst. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing data and creating visualizations to
support decision-making processes. This role requires a combination of analytical skills, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to
problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collect, analyze, and interpret data
* Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to
provide insights into key performance indicators.
* Perform analysis using various techniques to identify patterns in data.
* Make
critical observations and provide data interpretation to assist in the development of reports and recommend strategies and plans.

Collaborate with various departments to understand data needs and provide actionable recommendations.
* Implement systems requirements
and perform routine data analysis to ensure data management objectives within the department are met.
* Assist in the implementation of
new software solutions and upgrades.
* Ensure data integrity and security by following best practices and university policies.

Provide training and support to staff on the use of data analysis tools and software systems.

advancements in data analysis

- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Strong
proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Excel, and data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) - Basic understanding
of IT software maintenance and troubleshooting
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a related
field - Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R
- Experience with Transit and Parking operations is a
plus - Internship or project experience in data analysis or IT software maintenance is a plus
Knowledge, Skills and
