The Endowment Analyst reports to the Chief Investment Officer. The Investment Office implements overseas the investment strategy for the University’s endowment. This person will work with the entire team across both the investment and operational sides of the endowment.



Responsibilities:

  • Prepares analytical findings for current and potential investment managers across multiple asset classes.
  • Conducts investment research on key economic and investment themes by studying entire industries, assessing current trends in business practices, industry competition and market activity.
  • Create written reports providing manager updates and investment recommendations.
  • Support the CIO with risk management, portfolio construction analysis, and ad hoc portfolio and market analyses.
  • Assists with operational tasks related to the endowment portfolio including investment performance reporting, benchmarking, exposure, and business risk and liquidity analysis.
  • Updates various models including private equity cash flow projections and liquidity analysis.
  • Coordinates the document management process including all correspondence with investment managers.
  • Assists in other projects as needed.

Education & Work Experience:


  • B.A./B.S. in economics, business, mathematics, statistics, science or other similar field
  • 0-1 years of work experience

Ideal candidates will have most of the following attributes:

  • Bachelor’s degree with coursework demonstrating a quantitative proficiency
  • Demonstrable strong interest in learning the investment management business
  • Strong intellectual curiosity, flexibility, and fact-based approach to analysis
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and be capable of leading multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.
