Required Qualifications:
- An
associate degree in Electronics Engineering, Audio Engineering, Broadcast Technology or a closely related field and over two (2) years of
related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience in accordance with Fla. Stat.
112.219(6).
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary on-site technical authority,
managing audio, video, lighting, networking, and webcast operations to maintain high production standards. - Provide end-to-end
technical support during live events, including setup, real-time monitoring, and rapid issue resolution to ensure seamless
delivery - Collaborate closely with clients to understand event objectives, technical needs, and desired attendee
experience. - Oversee the routine inspection, testing, and optimization of audio-visual systems, including displays, microphones,
speakers, control panels, and conference platforms, to uphold peak performance and reliability. - Research emerging technologies and
industry trends to recommend improvements that enhance event quality, as well as integrating new hardware and software into existing
infrastructure. - Create comprehensive documentation, including user guides and troubleshooting manuals, to promote consistency and
support long-term knowledge retention. - Other special projects as assigned and directed by the President or their
designee.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Strong expertise in live sound reinforcement and
audio system design - Experience supporting high-visibility executive or VIP events
- Ability to operate mixers, wireless
microphone systems, and DSP based audio systems - Knowledge of outdoor acoustics, portable PA deployment, and power distribution
fundamentals - Exceptional problem-solving and in the moment adaptation skills
- Excellent communication and customer service
orientation - A collaborative approach, working well with leadership and cross-functional teams
- Commitment to delivering
polished, professional events that reflect institutional excellence
