is pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted from qualified candidates for the position of Executive Assistant to the
President. 


Responsibilities


The Executive Assistant to
the President is a key member of the President’s leadership team and manages a wide range of matters of importance on behalf of the
President. The Executive Assistant works in collaboration with Vice Presidents and other leadership team members to ensure achievement of
the University’s mission and goals, overseeing operations of the Office of the President to include supervision of staff and management of
the office budget. The Executive Assistant to the President uses discretion in the dissemination of information to faculty, students, staff
and various constituents served by the University, while coordinating activities with several major subordinate administrative units within
the University. 
Works closely with the President and members of the leadership team to ensure that the President’s schedule
reflects the University’s most important priorities. Prepares and/or contributes to the preparation of reports, briefings, presentations and
responses on issues/matters on behalf of the President. Monitor the flow of information going in and out of the President’s office and
advise on those critical matters. Prepares correspondences for distribution, approval and/or signature, while reviewing for
accuracy. 
Facilitates the efficient utilization of the President’s time through the development and coordination of a complex and
demanding calendar of appointments, meetings, social engagements, University and community functions with individuals and
groups. 
Coordinates efficient and effective travel for the President to external meetings and processes the appropriate payments
and reimbursements in accordance with the University’s compliance standards. 
Promotes a positive image of the University by
greeting and receiving visitors to the President’s office, responding to inquiries from a diverse representation of University constituents
(e.g., students, parents, faculty, staff, legislators, alumni, the media, and public and private officials), providing correct information
regarding the University’s policies or decisions, referring inquires to the appropriate offices or person, resolving problems. and following
up to determine the Inquirer’s satisfaction with the response. 
Serves as a liaison between the President and other University
administrators, constituents and private officials, various boards (including external boards the President serves on), faculty, staff,
students, and the various publics served by the University and communicating decisions and documents issued by the University, gathering
Information and providing Information to the President.
Performs complex administrative duties including researching issues, preparing
reports related to the Executive Assistant’s scope of responsibility, drafting correspondence on behalf of the office of the President,
coordinating and organizing special events, preparing for weekly meetings and providing support to the President In various constituent
meetings. 
Safeguards the confidentiality of university administration by exercising discretion in communicating information to
faculty, students, staff and various constituents served by the University and in handling administrative records, files, and similar
confidential items. Based on the discretion afforded at the sole discretion of the President, has the authority to open confidential items
in the absence of the President. 
Coordinates the flow of internal and external communications by receiving, routing, and/or
responding to requests. 
Performs other duties as assigned including supporting other Executive team leaders within the Office of
the President as time permits. 

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in appropriate area of specialization and five years of related experience; or master’s degree and three years of
related experience.
Recommended Competencies

Knowledge of
applicable computer software, especially the Office Suite of Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and basic computer
functions;
Knowledge of and the ability to interpret and apply related University policies, procedures, principles, and
practices;
Ability to demonstrate critical thinking based upon in depth data, substantiating information, considering and respecting
others input and personal values and ethics;
Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing;
Ability to function
independently with minimal supervision:
Ability to gather, interpret, report, and/or edit information;
Ability to evaluate process
effectiveness and develop change or alterative; and
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships

Pay Plan
This is an Administrative and Professional (A&P)
position.
Conditions of Employment
Successful candidate
is subject to a pre-employment screening which includes a review of criminal records, reference checks and verification of education. An
official college transcript, a high school diploma, or other educational documents must be submitted, where applicable, at the time of
employment.
Only United States (U.S.) citizens or aliens who have a legal right to work in the U.S. are eligible for employment.

employment eligibility within three (3) days of employment.
Section 110.1128, Florida Statutes, prohibits employment by the State
(including re-hire after a break in service) of any male born after October 1, 1962, who failed to register with the Selective Service
System, under the provisions of the U.S. Military Selective Service Act, during the person’s period of eligibility (ages 18 through 25).
Additionally, if currently employed by the State, this law prohibits the promotion of such person. You may be required to provide
