Position Summary
Doane University is hiring a Financial Aid Analyst who blends technical expertise
with a student-first mindset. In this blended role, you’ll support students and families throughout the financial aid process while
collaborating with our Technology Services team to manage Ellucian Colleague and Salesforce systems, oversee ISIR imports, automate
packaging, produce reports, and ensure system maintenance.
After a successful training period, typically a few months, hybrid
work options based at our Lincoln campus can be discussed.

Salary
Salary is commensurate with experience and falls within the range of $56,000 –
$61,000
Minimum Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience considered, with
four (4) years of experience at an institution of higher learning or another highly regulated field.
Demonstrated Experience
In:
- Comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of the financial aid operation
- Ability to interpret complex financial aid
regulations and apply them appropriately in different situations. - Understanding personal income tax laws as they relate to federal
financial aid. - Must utilize conflict resolution skills with students and parents, helping them to understand and identify potential
solutions to issues. - Ability to communicate professionally with a diverse student population.
- Ability to organize,
prioritize, and complete multiple projects with multiple deadlines. - High level of attention to detail in every task.
- Strong
problem-solving abilities and the ability to use sound judgment for decision-making
Required Technical Skills:
- Proficiency
in financial aid systems such as Colleague, NSLDS, COD, CPS, ScholarNet. Ability to navigate and use reporting tools to support financial
aid operations. - Familiarity with federal, state, and institutional financial aid reporting and compliance
requirements. - Ability to interpret complex data and regulations to make strategic decisions.
- Experience in cross-functional
collaboration with enrollment management and other departments. - API and System Integration: Skills in integrating systems,
particularly connecting the Student Information System (SIS) with government and third-party aid platforms, are
essential.
Preferred Qualifications
Technical expertise in Student Information Systems (SIS) is critical in
managing and optimizing financial aid operations within an educational institution.
