Franklin & Marshall College is recruiting
for a full-time Gifts & Record Specialist.



Job Details:

  • Location: F&M Campus – Lancaster,
    PA
  • Classification: Full-time, Non-Exempt
  • Schedule: 35 hours, Monday –
    Friday.
  • Reports to: Director of Advancement Information Systems &
    Services
  • Department: College Advancement
  • Approved Hourly Rate:
    $20.14/hour

Job Description:


The Gifts & Records Specialist is responsible for accurately entering/maintaining alumni and
donor information in databases and files; process gifts received by the College; respond to requests for information; conduct research to
locate “lost” alumni; produce acknowledgement letters, receipts and pledge reminders. This position will also provide administrative support
for other areas of the division when necessary.

Essential Functions:


  • Verify, enter, and maintain biographical and gift
    information in the Advancement database from a variety of sources.
  • Perform basic bookkeeping tasks:
    • charge credit
      cards
    • reconcile gift information
    • complete bank deposits
    • verify gifts for company matching gifts

  • Produce accurate, timely, and attractive acknowledgement letters, receipts, and pledge reminders.
  • All other duties as
    assigned.


Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least one
    year of relevant professional work experience in an office setting.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite Products (Docs, Gmail, Sheets,
    Slides, Drive).
  • Excellent oral, written, interpersonal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work
    collaboratively to achieve departmental goals and to provide excellent service to internal and external constituents.
  • Ability to be
    an ambassador of the College, its mission and College Advancement.
  • Evidence of a commitment to community and
    belonging.
  • Successful interview.
  • Successful completion of background checks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel).
  • Prior experience in a Higher Education setting.
