Job Description:
Job Summary
Under general supervision,
functions as a lead worker in maintaining building interiors, ensuring cleanliness, orderliness and attractive conditions are maintained in
assigned areas. May be required to move furniture and equipment. This position is expected to report to work in emergency situations such as
extreme weather when the campus may be closed.
Authority and Accountability
This position reports to Estella
Kellam, Housekeeping Supervisor, and has two Housekeeper PINs and seven C1 Housekeeping Assistants reporting to it. The position has no
budgetary authority or accountability.
Required/Minimum Qualifications
One year of housekeeping experience
required. Candidates selected for employment may be subject to medical inquiries and/or medical examination to determine the ability to
perform the job. Must have skill in the use and maintenance of housekeeping tools and equipment. Ability to read, write, and perform
arithmetic calculations; to operate assigned tools and housekeeping equipment; to work with chemicals and cleaning solutions; to understand
and follow directions; to lift and transport supplies and refuse; to wear and work in personal protective equipment; to provide guidance and
training to others. Must be able to lift 30 lbs, and do the following: walking, stooping, reaching, kneeling, climbing, standing, repetitive
motion, twisting, bending, sitting, pushing, pulling, crawling.
Preferred Qualifications
High School diploma or
GED is preferred but not required.
Two years of housekeeping experience is preferred but not required.

The position is a full-time, non-exempt state role with comprehensive benefits.
