Position Summary:
LNNU-MSU College of International Business (CIB) is seeking a full-time IT Specialist
to begin in December 2025. The successful candidate will support the College’s technology infrastructure, ensuring reliable and secure
IT operations in a dynamic international academic environment.

is located in Dalian, China, a coastal city known for its mild climate, low cost of living, fresh seafood, and relaxed lifestyle. The
College is a joint program established in 2000 between Liaoning Normal University (LNNU) (China) and Missouri State University (MSU)
(USA).
We offer a two-year AA in General Studies and a four-year BS in both General Business and Data Analytics, taught
entirely in English and following a U.S.-style academic calendar. The program is formally approved by both the Chinese Ministry of Education
and the MSU Board of Governors. Our mission is to foster cultural and educational exchange while strengthening U.S.-China
relations.

Job Duties:
- Manages the student computer lab. Selects qualified students to work in the computer lab,
provides proper instruction and training to these students, oversees their work, collects their work hours for payment purposes.
- Maintains regular and posted hours over multiple days in their office to provide regular IT support to faculty, staff, or
students of LNNU-MSU.
- Ensures a reliable computing environment by providing specifications for, installing, and
managing servers, implementing server security, monitoring server performance and capacity, determining and resolving system problems,
applying operating system patches, and maintaining documentation for server administration and maintenance.
- Supports network access by establishing and managing user accounts and resources, resetting passwords, configuring security access
rights, troubleshooting account access issues, and communicating with users about their accounts.
- Supports the
technology needs of the campus community by installing, configuring, maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting computers, laptops,
printers, scanners, and other specialized devices, operating systems, application software, and network and internet connections.
- Works with vendors and other sources to identify and resolve hardware and software problems.
- Creates and maintains documentation and web pages, assures web content is accurate and timely, assists with website design, and ensures
technical problems and resolutions are documented in a timely manner.
- Ensures that classrooms and labs are
up-to-date before each semester by reviewing and testing proposed software, developing, maintaining, and distributing complex software
images, and researching and implementing new technologies for supporting classrooms, labs, and offices.
- Participates in the planning process for the re-use of equipment by maintaining an accurate equipment inventory, identifying equipment
to be replaced, and transferring equipment between users with minimal service disruptions.
- Contributes to faculty
and staff effectiveness by facilitating/providing training in the use of presentation systems in the classroom, the course content
management system, and other uses of technology in instruction.
- Serves as a resource to academic and
administrative departments by consulting with Information Technology Services on Missouri State University (MSU) West Plains and Springfield
campuses about users on technology issues, analyzing their information technology needs, and providing specifications for suggested
hardware, software, and networking solutions within the confines of campus-wide standards and available financial resources.
- Anticipates and plans for technology changes that impact teaching, learning, and information management by learning new
hardware and software technologies as they become available, researching new hardware and software technologies, and presenting new
technologies to the campus community.
- Actively participates in planning for the future growth of the campus and
the integration of information technology by working with appropriate counterparts on the MSU West Plains and Springfield
campuses.
- Contributes to the overall success of the department by performing all other duties and responsibilities
as assigned.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary: 11,000 – 20,000 RMB per month,
based on qualifications and experience
- Housing Allowance: 3,800 RMB/month
- Regular
retention bonuses
- Standard one-year contract (renewable); multi-year candidates preferred
- Airfare: One-way ticket to Dalian and return ticket upon completion of contract
- Insurance: Accident &
critical illness (in-patient), accident (out-patient), and accidental death & dismemberment coverage
- Holidays:
Extended winter and summer breaks
- Additional support includes assistance with obtaining the Chinese work permit
and visa.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related
field
- At least two years of IT experience (experience in a university or college setting preferred)
- Ability to pass a background check (Missouri State University and Chinese work visa requirements)
