The role of the IT Services Delivery Manager provides direct supervision and guidance to the Technology Systems Analyst and related IT staff. This role ensures the effective delivery of technology services, including system support, classroom audio-visual operations, and infrastructure maintenance. The IT Services Delivery Manager coordinates daily operations, manages small to mid-sized projects, and serves as a liaison between technical staff and the Technical Director. Additionally, this role plays a strategic part in IT governance and planning, ensuring alignment with institutional objectives. The Delivery Manager actively supports cross-departmental initiatives, collaborating with Administrative and Academic units to integrate technology solutions across the organization. This position is classified as exempt and is designed to balance hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, ensuring smooth operations while supporting the institution’s long-term technology strategy
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Supervision & Leadership
- Provide day-to-day supervision of the Technology Systems Analyst and support staff
- Assign, review, and monitor work to ensure timely resolution of service requests
- Mentor staff, conduct performance evaluations, and support professional development
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team
Develop and implement training programs to enhance technical and customer service skills
- Promote adherence to institutional values and IT governance standards in all team activities
- Manage workload distribution to optimize efficiency and allocate necessary resources
- Serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues and guide staff toward resolution
Operations & Service Delivery
- Oversee deployment, configuration, and maintenance of enterprise systems and classroom audio-visual technology
- Ensure consistent delivery of end-user support and technology services across the institution
- Maintain service records, track performance metrics, and recommend improvements
- Optimize asset management processes, including inventory tracking and lifecycle planning
- Implement user feedback mechanisms to continuously improve service delivery
- Standardize support workflows to improve efficiency and reduce downtime
- Collaborate with academic and administrative units to tailor technology solutions for specialized needs
Project Coordination
- Manage small to mid-sized IT projects, ensuring alignment with institutional goals
- Coordinate system upgrades, migrations, and classroom technology enhancements
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure technology solutions meet instructional and administrative needs
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies
- Ensure proper documentation of all project phases, including requirements, testing, and deployment
- Facilitate cross functional communication between technical teams, vendors, and stakeholders
Policy & Compliance
- Enforce IT policies, standards, and best practices as directed by the Technical Director
- Ensure compliance with security, accessibility, and data protection requirements
- Assist in developing procedures for classroom technology use and support
- Working hours may include evenings, holidays or weekends depending on deadline requirements and special events.
Collaboration & Reporting
- Serve as the primary point of contact between technical staff and the Technical Director
- Provide regular updates on service delivery, project progress, and staff performance
- Collaborate with other departments to align technology services with institutional priorities
Strategic Planning & Governance
- Contribute to long-term IT strategy and governance frameworks to support institutional growth
- Collaborate with leadership teams across departments to ensure technology initiatives align with organizational priorities
Standard Operating Procedures
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive SOPs for IT operations, service delivery, and compliance
Budget & Resource Management
- Assist in the development of the IT budget, including forecasting, cost optimization, and resource allocation.

Technical Proficiency
- Solid understanding of operating systems, networking fundamentals, and classroom audio-visual technologies.

- Ability to supervise and guide technical staff, including workload distribution and performance evaluation.
- Skilled in mentoring and fostering a collaborative, accountable team environment.
Service Delivery & Operations
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for complex technical issues.
- Competence in optimizing workflows, managing IT assets, and improving service efficiency.
Communication & Collaboration
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with faculty, staff, and vendors.
- Ability to coordinate projects and maintain clear reporting to leadership.
Compliance & Governance
- Knowledge of IT security, accessibility, and data protection standards.
- Ability to enforce institutional policies and ensure regulatory compliance.
Required Education and Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field OR four (4) years of professional experience in addition to the base experience requirement in lieu of degree.
- 3 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or classroom technology management
- At least 1 year of supervisory or team lead experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of operating systems, networking, and classroom audio-visual systems
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and foster a collaborative team environment
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
Preferred Education and Experience
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- ITIL Foundation or equivalent service management certification
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator / Solutions Architect
- Project Management Professional (PMP).
Certificates and Licensures
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator / Solutions Architect
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
