Major Responsibilities/Duties
- Manage budget for the IVC system
- Supervise and approve hours for three full-time and two permanent part-time employees
- Supervise and approve time for 25-30 student facilitators
- Use scheduling rights to Utah Education Network IVC system in scheduling and building all Snow College originating classes for around the state and making changes for Snow College receiving and originating IVC classes and meetings as required for both Ephraim and Richfield campuses
- Work closely with IVC instructors in delivery of classes to high schools and other higher education institutions, including Snow Richfield campus
- Train campus faculty for Video Conferencing usage according to USOE and UEN requirements
- Attend UEN operations meetings
- Work closely with Snow College Concurrent Enrollment Department and attend meetings
- Work closely with Snow College IVC faculty to send quality classes and meetings to high schools and other higher education institutions
- Assist in completing Yearly Utah Education Network audit forms
- Coordinate technical support for classes originating and receiving classes on campus
- Take responsibility for overseeing site facilitation of IVC events
- Communicate operational, technical, and facilitation problems to UEN
- Operate cameras and audio equipment as needed to support the interactivity of the site and classes
- Assist in maintaining inventory of Snow College IVC equipment
- Assist in maintaining inventory of University of Utah IVC equipment
- Troubleshoot and fix mechanical/technical problems with UEN and high schools
- Schedule IVC classrooms as needed -Work with UEN on maintaining yearly Cisco IVC maintenance contracts
- Work closely with UEN scheduling for statewide events
- Assist with training and scheduling student facilitators
- Assist the Assistant IVC Manager with putting together training materials for IVC instructors and facilitators and putting in Canvas
- Work directly and assist with troubleshooting Snow College Cisco Interactive Video Conferencing system
- Work with on-site and end-site facilitators for Interactive Video Conferencing classes
- Assist in coordinating technical support for rooms on campus with broadcasting capabilities
- Assist with troubleshooting the Lucy Phillips building enhanced classroom equipment and TAs (Teacher Assistants)
- Work with instructors and troubleshoot Cisco Webex for IVC classes
- Other duties as needed
