Job Description
Provide technology consulting support services to all university departments and student groups hosting events in Webb Center, Broderick Dining Commons, The Ted Constant Convocation Center, public outdoor areas, or major events held in classrooms. These services include determining equipment needs, planning and set-up of necessary equipment, and support during events. Coordinate equipment purchases, repairs and/or service calls with university approved vendors for all equipment owned by Auxiliary Services. This position provides and supports technology resources for non-academic events.
Knowledge, skills and abilities
Exceptional knowledge of configuration and support of audio-visual equipment. Considerable knowledge of personal computers specifically in the use with media equipment. Working knowledge of effective customer service and problem-resolution techniques when serving diverse customers. Working knowledge of effective oral and written communication techniques. Some knowledge in the troubleshooting/repair of media equipment. Considerable computer literacy preferably in Microsoft products. Considerable knowledge of digital and networked room controllers and user interfaces.
Special licenses, registration or certification
Valid Driver’s License and insurable driving record.

Level and type of experience
Some experience supporting multi-media technology. Considerable experience in problem solving and decision analysis (i.e. can differentiate between the need to take action and when to consult with supervisor).
Additional Considerations (supplemental knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience, licensure, certification)
Some experience working with faculty, staff, and students in higher education environment. Considerable experience in supporting a multimedia/technology environment. Formal training in media/technology related field. Considerable knowledge in related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. CTS (AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist) certification preferred.
Conditions of Employment
This position is 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday with nights and weekends as needed.
Annual Salary/Hourly Rate: Salary range between $ – $48,000 – $52,000
