Responsibility / Duty
This is a skilled
and semi-skilled work in several trades in the repair and maintenance of buildings and equipment. Responsible for the performance of a wide
variety of mechanical and building trades tasks of a skilled and semi-skilled nature. Makes general repairs to buildings, air conditioning
and heating systems and other mechanical and related fields such as plumbing, carpentry and electrical. Work is usually performed without
close supervision and reviewed upon completion. Assignments may be made through work orders or employee may determine work needs through
observation.

Responsibility / Duty
Assist carpenters in the
repair of floors, units, furniture, windows, locks, and other related objects.
Assist electricians in the repair and installation of
electrical appliances or equipment, wiring lines, fixtures, alarm system, firefighting equipment, etc.
Assist refrigeration mechanics in
maintaining cooling units, vents, boilers, etc.
Assist auto mechanic with motor vehicle repairs.
Assist plumbers as relevant to their
trades.
Assist other tradesmen as assigned and perform skills and semi-skilled tasks as assigned.
Construct and repair items where
fitting and welding skills are required.

Minimum Experience
Required
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Two years of experience or training in the building construction trades, building
maintenance, maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment, or as a parks building and grounds attendant; OR
Completion of a two-year
vocational technical program in general building construction, construction technology, or engineering; OR
Twelve semester hours in
construction management, construction technology, or engineering, or any combination of these courses.
