Job Summary
The Makerspace Coordinator is
the primary individual responsible for running the Richard Bernstein Makerspace at the Dave & Patsy Rommel Center for Entrepreneurship and
ensuring the program successfully completes its mission. He or she oversees program operations and business functions, maintains and
services makerspace equipment and inventory, coordinates service delivery and access for tenants and prototyping clients, and delivers
training on the fundamentals of design and 3D printing.
Authority and Accountability
This individual reports to
the Assistant Director of Entrepreneurship and has no direct reports. He or she will manage a contractor that provides technical support and
design services and work with the Rommel Center Graduate Assistant or other student workers. This role supports the Assistant Director in
procurement actions (i.e. inventory checking, supply orders, etc.) and manages the work of a contractor, including monitoring and reporting
of the contractor’s expenditures and invoices. This position may implement smaller scale grants or revenue generation
activities.
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Operation and maintenance of makerspace equip.
- Education and
training classes or workshops - 3D design and modeling
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree or
Higher - CAD Certification
- Grants Management
Except for qualifications established by law, additional related
experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of
the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being
equivalent to one year of experience.
Additional Job Information:
The position is a Contingent II, Part-time,
non-exempt position.
