Summary of Job Duties:
The Marketing Coordinator serves as a key member of the Division of
Student Affairs’ Marketing and Communications shared services team, dedicated to supporting University Recreation + Wellness (UREC). Within
the shared services framework, this position plays a vital role in shaping and elevating the department’s brand through dynamic marketing
initiatives, with a strong emphasis on social media strategy and execution. The Marketing Coordinator leads the development and management
of comprehensive campaigns that increase awareness, engagement, and participation among students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the broader
Northwest Arkansas community. In addition, this role supervises a team of social media managers, ensuring consistent, creative, and
impactful storytelling that aligns with departmental and divisional goals.



Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an
essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with
others.


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communication,
    Journalism, Business, Marketing, or a related field from an accredited institution of higher education
  • Experience related to social
    media management
  • Must obtain CPR/First Aid/AED Instructor certification within first year of employment

Preferred
Qualifications:


  • Master’s degree in communication, Journalism, MBA, Marketing, or Higher Education from an accredited institution
    of higher education
  • At least two years of social media management
  • At least two years of employee supervision
    experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

  • Knowledge of media management
  • Knowledge of the principles
    and practices of communication and marketing
  • Knowledge of graphic design software
  • Knowledge of campus recreation
  • Has
    a sense of their own agency and social responsibility that includes others, their community, and the larger global context
  • Excellent
    written and verbal communication, customer service, and supervisory skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced office
    environment
  • Ability to work in a team environment
