PRIMARY PURPOSE/GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Reporting to the Technical Manager, the Media Services
Technician provides coordination for a broad range of audio/visual and multimedia services at the College in support of academic support,
administrative functions, and College events.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
ESSENTIAL
FUNCTIONS:
This information is intended to be a descriptive of the key responsibilities of the position. The list of

Provides media services support for faculty, classrooms, academic events, and campus
events. -
Coordinates with media users to determine equipment use and setup needs, and solves instructional problems relating
to use of media equipment.

Provides consultation, training, and resources to campus community on audio/visual related
needs. -
Evaluates equipment repairs and needs, recommends additional equipment and/or modifications with budget estimates for
operational and capital expenditures.

Participates in hiring and training of student employees for campus audio/visual
support. -
Performs additional related media services duties as assigned.

Performs other duties as
assigned. -

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Individuals must possess knowledge, skills and abilities to
successfully perform the essential functions of the position or be able to explain or demonstrate how the essential functions will be
performed, with or without reasonable accommodations, using some other combination of skills and abilities.

Knowledge of
current media presentation tools and techniques. -
Knowledge of personal computer operating systems as it relates to
audio/visual presentation systems.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to problem solve
as issues arise.

Ability to troubleshoot audio/visual issues in classrooms and provide assistance as
needed. -
Must be able to manage multiple projects while prioritizing the academic needs of the
College.

Excellent customer service skills.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
EDUCATION &
EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge,
skills and ability to perform the job.
Two years of experience with instructional technology or media production is preferred.
Experience in theater production is preferred.
LICENSES / CERTIFICATES:
Must have a valid driver’s license
and maintain a driving record acceptable to the Colleges’ insurance carrier.

AND STATUS:
This is a regular status, full-time, 12-month, benefits-eligible, non-exempt position.
The regular hours
for this position are Monday-Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. Hours will vary based on the needs of the College.
Hourly rate range:
$23.00-$26.50. The hourly rate of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not
limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
None.
