Description
Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the Media Specialist is a member of the team which oversees classroom and conference room presentation system development, maintenance, and support.
The Media Specialist collaborates closely with other departments on special projects such as meeting conferencing, live-streaming events, and event support. The Media Specialist also works closely with students, faculty and staff in variouscapacities related to multimedia systems and support.
Actual salaries will vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to degrees attained, experience, and other considerations permitted by law. Comprehensive compensation details, including any additional benefits, will be communicated upon finalization of the employment offer.
Responsibilities
- Presentation system support. Design, implement, and maintain multimedia technology and systems in existing and proposed instructional spaces.
- Event support. Schedule event support and deliver and set up Media Services equipment as necessary.
- Instructional support. Provide responsive support as needed for faculty members and staff using instructional and conferencing spaces.
- Documentation. Document all components, operations, and processes of existing systems and provide guidance to other staff. Maintain an equipment inventory. Design and update classroom and event space training materials as needed.
- Vendor relationships. Collaborate with outside vendors. Maintain service plans for systems and service agreements with the vendors.
Qualifications
- Vocational/Technical Training in Digital Media Editing, Broadcasting, Audio/Video Production, Computer Science, Stage Management, or related field Required
- High School Diploma Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Media Editing, Broadcasting, Audio/Video Production, Computer Science, Stage Management, or related field Preferred
