Job Description
The
Division of Marketing & Communications seeks a Multimedia Producer to join its award-winning Mizzou Visual Productions
(MVP) team. MVP amplifies the University of Missouri’s authentic story through cinematic video, compelling photography, and creative digital
content that build connection and pride in Mizzou.
This producer will help bring Mizzou’s personality to life by crafting
profiles, microdocumentaries, and highlight reels of signature events, as well as still photography for print and web. The ideal candidate
is a resilient and forward-thinking storyteller who combines technical excellence with a collaborative spirit, ensuring every project
reflects Mizzou’s bold, human-centered brand.
Responsibilities
- Shoot and edit cinematic-quality video and
dynamic photography for multiple platforms - Contribute to creative planning that aligns with Mizzou’s brand personality and
storytelling strategy - Provide constructive feedback to fellow producers, supporting a collaborative creative culture
- Manage
selected projects, from pre-production through delivery, ensuring deadlines and client goals are met - Build and maintain positive
client relationships, ensuring projects advance Mizzou’s reputation
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s
degree or equivalent combination of education and experience - 2+ years of professional experience in visual content
production - Proficiency with cinema-quality video cameras and professional DSLR photography
- Skilled in video and photo
editing applications, with strong sense of narrative pacing and visual design - On-set production experience (lighting, blocking,
gripping, directing talent) - Experience with animation and graphic design preferred
Additional Skills &
Proficiencies
- Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator)
- Studio and
location photography, including advanced lighting setups - Digital asset management, archiving, and metadata
practices - Creative problem-solving and a passion for innovative, human-centered storytelling
Shift
Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. with some evenings and weekends required
Minimum Qualifications
A
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable
knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Salary
Range: $52,915.20 – $56,207/year
Grade: GGS-9E
