Job Description:
The State University of New York at Oneonta is seeking a proactive leader to join our team as Nurse Practitioner. This
is a part-time, ten-month position with the expectation of providing primary health care to college students. Reporting to
the Director of the Student Health Center, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students’ well-being so they can thrive academically,
socially, and personally.

Duties include
but are not limited to:
- Perform comprehensive health histories and physical exams.
- Assessment, diagnosis, and
treatment of acute illness and injury. - Use evidence-based care to make clinical decisions to formulate a plan of
care. - Promote the well-being of students to enhance retention and academic success.
- Educate, counsel, and assist students
regarding current health problems, health maintenance activities and healthy behaviors. - Collaborate and/or consult with other health
care providers as appropriate on or off campus. - Timely documentation within the Electronic Medical Record system.
- Provide
high quality health care according to federal and NYS laws, American College Health Association standards and SUNY Oneonta and Student
Health Center policies and procedures as related to college health. - Expectation to work evening hours at least 1 day a
week.
Salary: $38,636 -$39,545 commensurate with experience. SUNY Oneonta is a Public Service Loan Forgiveness

Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree; NYS license for Registered Nurse and certification as Adult, Pediatric or Family Nurse Practitioner.
Preferred:
- Two years of experience in acute care as a registered nurse, with experience in one or more of
the duties listed above as a nurse practitioner. - Experience in college and/or school-based health, family medicine or urgent
care. - Experience working in women’s health.
- Experience working with and serving diverse populations.
