Job Summary:
The Office Associate position is responsible for
providing administrative support for the Buffett Early Childhood Institute as part of an administrative support resource pool.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to maintaining calendars, coordinating and scheduling meetings, providing travel and event
support, tracking expenditures, and general office duties.

Required Qualifications:
High School education or GED and 4 years administrative office
experience.

Required Knowlege, Skills, Abilities:


  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel,
    and PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail

Equivalent
combination of education, experience, that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.

Preferred
Qualifications:

Two years post-secondary coursework and 6 years of experience in an administrative office


Experience in a
public school district, university, or postsecondary education institution.

Experience with University of Nebraska systems and
applications.


Preferred Knowlege, Skills, Abilities: Bilingual

The ideal candidate is an energetic self-starter who can
working through complex issues and problemsolve with minimal supervision; shows judgment to seek supervision and/or input from others
whennecessary; a resilient learner who demonstrates attention to detail, professional discretion, andconfidentiality; has experience in a
university or post-secondary education institution; proven ability tohandle competing priorities with deadlines; and experience with
web/internet research and navigationand project management practices and tools.
