GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

North
Central Michigan
College seeks a dynamic, ambitious, and student-centered Outreach Recruiter to support enrollment growth and student
access
initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Admissions, this position plays a key role in engaging prospective students and their
families and guiding them through the admissions process.



The Outreach Recruiter serves as an ambassador for the College, building
relationships with local schools, community organizations, and regional partners to recruit traditional and non-traditional students.
This role supports the College’s mission of providing exceptional, accessible, relevant education while contributing to a collaborative
Enrollment Management team.


DUTIES:

  • Represent North Central Michigan College at recruitment events
    including school
    visits, college fairs, campus tours, information sessions, and community events (in-person and virtual).
  • Conduct one-on-one and
    group presentations for prospective students and families, providing accurate information about programs,
    admissions, and next
    steps.
  • Build and maintain relationships with area middle schools, high schools, adult education
    programs, and community
    organizations.
  • Lead and implement targeted outreach campaigns via phone, email, text, and events to
    engage prospective, applied
    and admitted students.
  • Drive enrollment outcomes by managing an assigned recruitment territory
    and maintaining precise prospect
    data using Salesforce CRM and related systems.
  • Collaborate with admissions staff, other
    campus departments, and community
    partners to ensure a welcoming, student-focused enrollment experience.
  • Provide excellent
    customer service, recognizing that
    this role may be a student’s first point of contact with the College.
  • Execute recruitment
    and outreach strategies aligned with
    the College’s enrollment goals.
  • Autonomously plan and lead admissions events including
    individual tours and large group campus
    visits.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor’s
    degree required.
  • 1
    – 3 years of experience in admissions, sales, marketing, higher education or a related field (including
    internships or student
    employment).
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable with
    presenting to groups
    and engaging individuals in conversational settings.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing
    positively to a team
    environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with
    Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and willingness to learn new software systems.
  • Valid
    driver’s license
    with the ability to travel locally and regionally; ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.

PREFERRED
QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience and comfortability with delivering presentations or facilitating group
    discussions.
  • Familiarity with community college environments or open-access institutions.
  • Experience using CRM
    systems such as Salesforce or similar tools.
