Job Description
Summary
This temporary position is focused on reading and reviewing graduate applications for the School of Engineering and
Applied Sciences (SEAS). The reader evaluates information submitted by the applicant including transcripts, optional standardized test
scores, recommendations and personal statements. This is a flexible position and the hours may vary from week-to-week, not to exceed 40
hours/week. This position will begin as soon as possible and end by May 2026. All of the work can be accomplished remotely.

- Evaluate a minimum of 500 applications per admission cycle, ensuring
all evaluations are completed by established deadlines. Utilize the official Reader Handbook to make informed, accurate assessments of
whether an application meets specific Penn Engineering guidelines and requirements. (80%) - Use the Slate CRM platform to
provide detailed commentary on potential application issues and submit final assessments. (10%) - Maintain precise records of
applications evaluated and total hours worked; submit weekly timesheets every Sunday by 11:59 PM EST. (5%) - Maintain active,
consistent communication with the Associate Director of Graduate Admissions and various program staff to ensure process alignment.

Qualifications:
- A home computer setup with a secure, reliable internet
connection. - Proficiency with Google Suite and a general comfort level learning new computer programs.
- Minimum
1 year of data entry experience is required. - Previous experience in Higher Education or Admissions is highly
preferred. - Prior experience navigating the Slate CRM platform is preferred
- Strong attention to detail to
ensure fairness and accuracy in the review process. - Exceptional ability to manage a fluctuating workload in a deadline-driven
environment. - Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent
written communication skills for providing clear, concise application feedback. - Strong organizational skills to track high
volumes of data and meeting reporting requirements. - Note: Cover Letter strongly recommended.
