Job Summary:
Morgan State University
(MSU) is establishing the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs to support and enhance the experiences of postdoctoral
researchers, who are essential contributors to the university’s research mission. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented
Postdoctoral Affairs Coordinator to oversee postdoctoral hiring, documentation, visa processing, and professional
development programs. This role will serve as a vital resource for postdoctoral researchers, faculty, and administrators, ensuring a smooth
and compliant postdoctoral experience at MSU.
Key Responsibilities:
- Postdoctoral Hiring Support:
Assist faculty in recruiting, onboarding, and retaining postdoctoral researchers. - Documentation & Compliance: Manage appointment
letters, contracts, and ensure adherence to university policies and federal guidelines. - Visa & Immigration Services: Coordinate
visa sponsorship, work authorization, and immigration compliance for international postdoctoral researchers in collaboration with the Office
of International Affairs. - Professional Development: Develop and oversee programs to support postdoctoral career advancement,
including workshops, networking events, and mentorship opportunities. - Benefits & Compensation Guidance: Provide postdoctoral
researchers with information regarding salaries, benefits, and other resources. - Data Management & Reporting: Maintain records of
postdoctoral researchers and generate reports for institutional planning and funding opportunities.

Requested Minimum
Qualifications
Education
A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from an accredited college or
university is required.
Experience
Experience in Academic Administration, Research Administration, Human
Resources, or Higher Education Instruction or Management is required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong knowledge of hiring processes, immigration regulations, and postdoctoral policies.
- Excellent organizational,
problem-solving, and communication skills. - Experience working with diverse populations, including international scholars.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data management tools.
